If this is "normality"....FUCK it!

A friend of mine recently sent me a link to a video about what is known as the "sissy boy experiments". I was faintly familiar with this issue and had briefly heard a little bit about "restorative therapy" to treat and "cure" homosexuality in passing conversations with others. When I opened the link, I truly attempted to view it with an open-mind. Not that my personal beliefs can be so easily swayed, but I do always try to at the very least respect & understand opposing points of view. What I saw in this video however was absolutely disgusting to me. There really isn't any other way to describe it. Homosexuality has been at the core of issues that I have discussed and debated with family, friends and others for years now. My views, ideas and beliefs in terms of it have not changed from when I was much younger and first understood what "gay" was. At this present stage in my life, I don't feel that I owe it to anyone to justify myself nor the things that I believe in and the way I feel about...well anything, including homosexuality, GLBT or anything else. I will not go too deep into it, because the intense emotions are still there but I will say this.... I am not tolerant of homosexuality; to say that would mean that I agree that it is wrong or that there is something wrong with being homosexual or of the GLBT community. That's the connotation that the word "tolerant" means to me; that something is wrong but one is willing to "accept" it anyway. What I do believe is that just as humans are similar in many facets & characteristics, we are uniquely different as well. Time, technology and yes even science have proven that we cannot be so easily categorized or labeled. Sex, gender and sexual orientation though similar have their unique differences as well, and none of it really matters to me. We do not all live the same, breathe the same, think the same, act the same, or love the same and that's what makes our kind "human kind" so unique. Everything that makes us similar and all of the things that make us different are worth exploring, understanding, respecting and learning. Don't preach to me about what the bible says, or the hate and anger that God has for homosexuals. To me, that isn't normal at all. The one true pure thing that we have in this world is unconditional love. This love has absolutely no exceptions. This is the love that I believe is of God, and this love is extended to everyone and everything that God created. It doesn't matter how similar or different you are from anyone or anything else, you are good enough simply because you exist and God loves you. Instead of attempting to fix, shape, mold and create things in some popular but artificial, cynical, and hateful sense of "normality" we need to focus on Love.

Well anyway, that is enough rambling. You can click on the link below, and look for yourself.....
